How to Express Your Gratitude to Your Co-workers and Staff

Sure, it’s the Holidays with all the workplace tinsel afloat. Many of us are planning our family gatherings or how to spend a few days off during the holiday season.

Before you go, may we suggest that you express gratitude to the people who have lived and worked side-by-side with you through the tough times and happy moments?

Presents may be what retailers are hoping for, but there are multiple ways to express gratitude.

We want to share a few we have collected over the years with you.

Take Time to Visit

A 30-minute trip to your favorite cafe with a co-worker is better than the caffeine boost you’ll both enjoy!  People feel special when you spend time alone with them, taking them somewhere you consider special and letting them know their impact on your life.

Write it Down

Not everyone has the opportunity to leave the office or the time to spend with everyone on their team. If that is your situation, you can buy a package of cards and start writing. Better than an email (and exponentially better than a group email! ), a handwritten card acknowledging the person, the gifts they bring to your team, and the impact they have made on you are often kept and even cherished by others for years.

Homemade Gratitude

For those so inclined, a homemade gift – no matter how small says you are thinking about the person when you are not in the office. A note attached with a personal acknowledgment of the recipient’s impact on your life is a winning idea!

Don’t let the Season Pass You By

Gratitude does wonders for the people in your world who receive it, but the benefits don’t stop there.  Gratitude improves your life. Researchers tell us we are healthier, happier, and sleep better – (even manage weight!) through the habitual practice of gratitude. Make your determinations now for the habits you will practice in 2023 to keep gratitude and daily activity at the top of your mind.

By the way, while breaking all the rules and saying this to our group of subscribers at once, it’s worth the risk to say HOW GRATEFUL we are at the Fiore Training Team Headquarters for each of you. If it were appropriate, we would list your names right here. You have supported and encouraged us, many of you, for years. Thank you!  Thank you for helping us become who we are today.
