HAPPY HABITS

Happy Habits for Personal Happiness – 2023

It’s your new year, and you can decide how you will experience what happens to and around you.

Our Micro-Habits series of 2022 was a big hit with our readers, and it seemed appropriate to carry on the tradition for 2023.

This year we are talking about habits or actions that can grow your personal happiness – somewhat like someone would grow a garden.

Each day, you will find our new HAPPY HABITS on our website at www.fioregroup.org or my Linkedin profile.

Additionally, each week in the LIVING LEADERSHIP you are reading, we will post a digest of the HAPPY HABITS for the past week.

Of course, not all the HAPPY HABITS will seem appropriate for you – so leave those alone. However,  I encourage you to try your hand at habits that seem foreign to you and perhaps challenge yourself to stretch your comfort zone. Maybe your predispositions are the very fences keeping your happiness at bay! So, be courageous!

I would be delighted if you would share HAPPY HABITS with your friends. Share them on Linkedin – or send the newsletter to a colleague.

The world doesn’t seem to be easier. We live in complicated times. Happiness can seem elusive.  I am often reminded of Victor Frankel’s inspiring commentary in his legendary book, Man’s Search For Meaning. While suffering in concentration camps, some prisoners seemed to thrive. Frankel describes the rich inner life they cultivated and the corresponding actions as the key to their survival.

A workplace void of personal happiness is unproductive and drudgery for anyone who works there. As leaders, we can make a difference by demonstrating the actions that lead to individual happiness and fulfillment. Fortunately, no one has the power to deny you the inner joy and contentment from the choices you make.

Let’s set a goal for the next thirty days to make them together!
